'Deeds not Words' Broom A6 Card (Orangey)

2.50

The broom is a symbol of humility in traditional heraldry. As a cleaning implement it would traditionally be associated with domestic chores and therefore of female and the lower classes. Paired with the slogan ‘Deeds not Words’ the implication of the broom is that some of the ways people help to show their intentions are small simple tasks.

Iconic images taken after London riots in 2011 show that people brought their brooms and dustpans from home, pitching in to clear up the streets after the chaos. Communities acting as a group, but individuals doing their bit.

The broom now holds this symbolism.

Inspire anybody having a tough time with this card which uses a slogan used originally by the Suffragettes (or get them a mug with the same design).

A6 Card is left blank for your message. Comes with a plain white envelope.
